Live music in the Old Town: Bar Cuasquias

Every weekend live music acts perform at the „Cuasquias” bar, which is located in the Old Town of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria on San Pedro 2 street. The live music acts are not mediocre, but instead offer amazing music. One band plays better than the other; no matter if one prefers reggae, punk, jazz or swing, the performances are always at the highest level.
The center of the club consists of a small dance floor, the stage and many seating opportunities. The bar is located after the entrance on the right and is the only one in this room. Further, when guests walk towards the restrooms, a long stretched and comfortable room is being offered to the guests to hang out. This room is equipped with a bar and many tables and chairs which allows guests to chill out and talk about the live acts in a less loud place. Also, this room offers a small “Africa-shop” where one can buy African wood craft and wristbands.
A bad thing for smokers is the fact that there is a strict ban on smoking throughout the whole venue. And if one tries to smoke in the club, the waiters or other guests will nicely refer to the fact that it is prohibited in the “Cuasquias”.
The atmosphere in the bar is usually always fantastic, which for sure is not due to the expensive prices of the drinks. One Wodka Lemon or a Rum Coke cost 6 Euro. The “Cuasquias” is the right place to be for people who enjoy diversified live music acts and who enjoy a great and smoking-free night out with other guests.
