The TEMUDAS Festival will stage its spectacular closing concert on 26 September at Boluda’s container terminal, combining Verdi and Stravinsky with one of the city’s most unusual settings.
Classical music in a place normally dominated by cargo operations and giant container cranes: on 26 September 2026, Boluda’s container terminal in the Port of Las Palmas will once again become an extraordinary open-air concert venue. The Gran Canaria Philharmonic Orchestra will close the 30th TEMUDAS Festival with “La forza del destino”. Tickets cost €15 and include shuttle transport.

Las Palmas de Gran Canaria never stands still. This page is where we collect what's new on the island: fresh bars and restaurants, beach closures, festival dates, cruise ships in port, and honest season tips. Nothing here is polished brochure copy - it's what's really happening, added as we find it out.
What You'll Find Here
Below, in chronological order, you'll find our latest reports: newly opened places, roadworks and beach closures, weather events, changes to bus or ferry prices, and our own on-the-ground stories. We only publish what we've checked ourselves, and we say clearly when something is still unconfirmed.

Recently Updated on This Site
Our island guide is never really "finished". Here we link to the pages we've just reworked, so you can see where new photos, prices or tips have landed. It keeps the rest of our Las Palmas de Gran Canaria travel guide feeling properly alive, not like a static brochure.
Getting There / Transport Connections
Most of the places mentioned on this page are an easy city bus ride (Guaguas Municipales) or a short walk from central Las Palmas. For destinations elsewhere on the island, check the Guaguas Global bus timetable ; we mark specific routes and times in the individual reports and verify them before publishing.
