The entrance takes place from an artificial built pier or also directly from the Las Canteras beach. Especially for long boarder here’s nearly ever something to harvest. Here the waves are breaking to the left as well as to the right. Also flow and ebb can’t thread this place because he works as good as ever. Because of so many breaks at this spot it is overfilled at most at weekend – during the week and mainly forenoon here’s space in abundance.
When walking to the furthest end of the pier, where often some locals with sunshade and Radio are settled down, a wonderful view over whole Canteras beach and Confital beach can be enjoyed in the background. By the way, at Confital one of the biggest right – wave of Europe is existing.
At ebb the 500 Meters of Canteras beach distanced lime reef La Barra, which can be viewed excellent at this viewpoint, becomes visible. At flow even above the reef some "surfable" spots appear which are mainly used by body boarders.
The Barra is not only interesting for surfing because many natives use the stone pier to fish, to sun oneself or just to watch surfers and body boarders at their exercise
