Surfing in calm village San Andres

Plenty of breaks, few people

Right on Surf-Road GC-810 you will find the small and quiet fisher-village San Andres. With Molokai, Los Enanos and many other nameless breaks you have plenty of possibilities to enjoy. Besides there are many good and affortable restaurants ride next to the waves. On low tide you can relax on the nice beach with black sand.

The beautiful market place with its church is definitely worth a visit. One can walk along the stony beach on a 500 metre long path while checking out the waves in this beautiful ambiance. If one follows the path to the Western side of the village one will end up at the Barranco (= riverbed) de la Virgen, which only carries water a couple of days a year. Even a soccer field was constructed in the riverbed. To play soccer in a riverbed – that would be unheard of in countries like Great Britain.

Especially on weekends San Andres with its quiet bays and stony beaches is a popular destination among locals. People meet for barbeques and relax until the late evening hours while listening to the sound of the breaking waves.
