Disco R&B Old Town: Soultrain
The R&B club with happy hour
"font-weight: normal; font-size: 12pt; mso-ansi-language: EN-GB; mso-bidi-font-weight: bold">If one is visiting the Old Town of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria on the weekend and is looking for a club, the “Soultrain” is definitely worth a visit. This club is located on Calle Mendizabal and is especially popular among the local Youth. This could be due to the fact that mixed beverages and beer are half-price until 1.30am and that the admission is free.
The drinks are not only cheap during happy hour. Because it is a club, 3 Euro for a beer or 5 Euro for a mixed drink are not so bad either. Compared to other clubs we were checking out, the prices at “Soultrain” were quite inexpensive.
The “Soultrain” consists of two floors, but nevertheless the club is not too big. Late at night one’s elbowroom is limited in the club which is due to the rather large crowd on the dance floor and because an air condition is missing, one might break out a sweat more easily. The DJ only plays R&B and black music and encourages people to dance along to these songs. If one likes this kind of music, the “Soultrain” is the perfect place to go out and have a good time. Special events do not take place at this venue, but who needs those when one can take advantage of the club’s happy hour?
