Café AC Hotel - incredible view!

The Café with the most beautiful view in Las Palmas

From the Café, which is situated in the 23rd and 24th floor of the hotel, you can enjoy a gorgeous view over large parts of the entire city region. Among other things you can catch sight of the Playa de las Canteras, which is one of the most beautiful municipal beaches in the world. The Café is open to the public and not only reserved for hotel guests.

How do you get to the Café in the AC Hotel? That’s very simple. You just need to enter the main entrance, pass the reception to arrive straight at the lift and press number 23...

The Café is in the highest building of the district Santa Catalina and due to its central location you can benefit from a wonderful view over many sight of the districts Santa Catalina, Guanarteme, La Isleta and Alcaravaneras.

Immediately beneath the Café are the Parque Santa Catalina, the museum Elder and the shopping centre El Muelle. The view over the Parque Santa Catalina is especially attractive, which probably only a few tourists have already experienced from this dizzy perspective. Just behind the shopping centre the piers of the harbour Puerto de la Luz, which is one of the most important harbours in the southern Atlantic Ocean, stretch for several kilometres.

Behind the harbour are the two extinct volcanic cones of the district La Isleta and in front of them you can spot the corrugated iron roofs of the poorest district of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. Below these volcanic hills is the area of the Confital beach which you can also see well from the Café in the AC Hotel.

The actual Café, in which you can have breakfast from 6.30am to 12pm, is located on the 23rd floor. One floor above you can find the restaurant of the hotel, in which you can eat well but not really cheap, which is not difficult to understand considering the view you have there. The restaurant is opened at lunchtime from 1.30pm to 4pm and in the evening from 8.30pm to 11.30pm. They have diverse fish and meat dishes, but only at 13€ upwards.

On the roof terrace is the hotel’s own swimming pool. Although only hotel guests are allowed to use it, you can sit down on the comfortable deckchairs and marvel at the sunset behind the Playa de las Canteras.

It is incontestable that the Café of the AC Hotel has the most beautiful view of all Cafés in Las Palmas!

Tips

The Café already opens at 6.30am, which is quite an ‘inhuman’ early time (not only for Canarians). Nevertheless, you can enjoy the sunrise at the east coast from the hotel every morning which is a great reward for getting up so early. It is also a great start for a new day, which gives you power to explore Las Palmas de Gran Canaria further.

In the evenings the Café of the AC Hotels is also one of the ‘places to be’ in Las Palmas, because in the darkness of the night you can have an astonishing view of the sea of lights in the city.
