Leaving from or arriving at Las Palmas Port by ferry or cruiser is not very difficult. While cruisers only arrive weekly at Las Palmas Port, there are numerous daily travel ferries routes to other Canary islands like Tenerife, Fuerteventura, Lanzarote, La Palma and El Hierro.

The Gran Canaria Ferry Market is divided in three competitors which maintain different ferry routes from and to Gran Canaria Port of Las Palmas. Naviera Armas offers different direct and indirect connections to Tenerife (Santa Cruz), Fuerteventura, La Palma, Lanzarote and El Hierro, while also Trasmediterranea has some additional connections to Fuerteventura, Tenerife and La Palma.

Further there is a weekly ferry between Cadiz and Las Palmas Port with Trasmediterranea. Some more Gran Canary ferry routes are also avaibale but with lower frequency: From Las Palmas de Gran Canaria Port to Madeira, or from Las Palmas to Portimao (Portugal).

From Las Palmas de Gran Canaria Ferry to Tenerife, Santa Cruz de Tenerife:

Most economic Naviera Armas Ferry has 4 daily connections from Gran Canaria to Tenerife between Monday and Friday (at 7:30, 12:00, 16:00, 20:00 directly from Santa Catalina Ferry Terminal at Las Palmas Port to Santa Cruz de Tenerife). On Saturday they offer only 2 and on Sunday 3 ferry connections. Duration of this route is about 4 hours.

Trasmediterranea has only one weekly connection at Thursday, 16:00 hours From Las Palmas Port to Santa Cruz de Teneriffe, duration also about 4 hours.

Fred Olsen Express offers its superfast connection between Puerto de Las Nieves (Agaete) and Santa Cruz de Tenerife. There is a free bus shuttle transfer from las Palmas Parque Santa Catalina to the little Port 30 km west of Las Palmas. Duration is only 60 Minutes, but also more expensive. Dont forget to count the additional time to reach Agaete by bus (about a half hour).

Lowest regular prices (30 € one-way, 45 € return) has the Naviera Armas Ferry Route, but with the conditions of a 4 hours journey.
